Enterprise Recovery Systems (ERS) was founded in Illinois as a debt collection company in 1988 and they maintain a principal office located at 2000 York Rd Ste 114, Oak Brook, IL 60523-8863. They operate as an agency that collects consumer debt in multiple states including New York. When Enterprise Recovery Systems was founded, they specialized in collecting debt for colleges and universities, higher education debt, federal loans, and private student loans.
In March of 2015, the Department of Education announced that they will discontinue their contract for collection on defaulted federal student loans with five private-collectors, including, Enterprise Recovery Systems and Allied Interstate, due to providing “materially inaccurate representations”.
In March of 2012, Enterprise Recovery Systems was acquired by United Recovery Systems LP.
Enterprise Recovery Systems participates in the collector certification program with the American Collector Association which is done in their effort to keep their employee regularly trained and compliance with the applicable debt collection laws.
